AngFrayle and The WebLab Are Back

Two old subsites of AgustinongPinoy are back: AngFrayle and The WebLab. I closed down AngFrayle for some time in the hope of rearranging its contents. Since last year, I've been trying several applications to automate its pages. I think I have finally found the right Content Management System for Ang Frayle and it is called Mambo. Right now, the site operates with a fully functional download manager. Some AgustinongPinoy files -- especially the gift downloads from August 28 -- are available there. I am centralizing the file downloads at AngFrayle since it is most keeping with its archivial nature.

The WebLab, after a year of hiatus is back. For the moment, it offers software reviews and a tutorial blog for web postings. I had to revive the site because I found out that even the ordinary web user does not know how to operate web applications that are either simpler or much more "unfriendly" than Friendster or MySpace. The tutorials had to be expanded to include software reviews since I found out that there are a lot of Windows users who miss out on the extension applications made for Windows available on the web such as NotePad replacements, more powerful document editors and clipboard extensions.

The WebLab's tutorial sections on web applications and HTML will continue. As I've been doing in the past, such tutorials will be written either upon request or if I've learned something new that I know may be useful for people who work with a computer either on or offline. This "geeky" aspect of AgustinongPinoy was part of its original mission and so will be sustained while AgustinongPinoy is alive and well on the web.
